What is a dangerous area?

Explosion-proof lighting must be used in hazardous areas. Typically, a hazardous area is an area containing each of the three necessary components of an explosion:

Combustible material, which can be a variety of substances, such as chemical smog, shavings, grain dust or flammable gases

Oxygen, no oxygen is impossible

Ignition source, can be as small as a spark

When these three factors are combined, they can lead to catastrophic explosions. Therefore, managers of facilities handling flammable materials must take appropriate precautions to protect workers and protect their products.
